Tablet PCs :: Personal Computers

T subjectt PCs Weighing in at 2.5 pounds the Table PC is the newest creation in the globe of portable computers. Instead of having to use a mouse and keyboard this new computer uses only an electronic pen and a few keys. Without even having to hook up to a phone-line you can wirelessly connect to the Internet. While the computer may be small itself its capabilities are far from it. One model of this PC is called the Convertible. This magnetic variation looks actually much like the normal laptop computer were used to today. With the other PCs you dont use a keyboard yet with this one you have the option. If youd rather type you simply rotate the computer and use the keyboard. If youd prefer to use the note-take features you turn it back and scram writing with the pen as if you normally would. A second model of the tablet is the Slate PC. This version is very lightweight and convenient to use during meetings for note-taking. This version i s easily able to dock right into your regular PC for use with a full screen, mouse and keyboard. It is similar to a laptop but its supple design makes it easy to bring wherever you may need it. While all tablets are able to dock some are easier than others. For example the Windows XP two-fold Monitor support system allows you to work on one thing while keeping your notes on another screen. Along with the docking is the grab-and-go feature which allows you to go out so quickly you dont have to go into standby. The birth control pill PC is a very convenient tool for those who are not able to work at a desk with a computer but still need the same functions. These little computers are capable of running Windows XP. A Tablet is also able to run programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. You are able to customize the PC to exactly fit your needs. Using

Wilderness and Adventure Education Essay -- Education

There are two different parts of the Wilderness Sports and Adventure program line model. The Wilderness sports part of it includes the scholarly persons participating in various activities such as canoeing, rock climbing and hiking. They are not traditional sports because the athletic ability of the student is not as important as it would be in traditional physical education bodily process. For example, a child may not be sufficient to kick a soccer ball very well or throw a softball accurately but they would be able to tramper up a mountain. Not all schools are able to do these activities because they are lacking the recourses or money. However all schools can participate the in the Adventure Education part of the model. The reason being is because they dont need the equipment to go canoeing or the environment to have the trails to go hiking. All the teacher needs to participate in Adventure education is a few obstacles to help students with different skills and the students co operation.The Wilderness Sports teaching model is strange from other teaching models. Not every school has the resources or the magazine in the curriculum to provide students with the opportunity to perform the Wilderness Sports such as cycling, hiking or rock climbing. This gives the chance for the school to come up with extra-curricular activities for the students that otherwise wouldnt be able to do during the school day. A great extra-curricular activity would be mountain biking. Biking is a great way to stay in shape and go for an adventure at the same time. It also provides bonding time with the teacher and the student which is very important. We began taking rides together. The students would show me new trails, and I would show them the ones I was familiar with. In Adventure Education the team has to work together so the students can take on friends that way. Personal Philosophy: Child Development and Teaching Essay -- Teaching

Personal PhilosophyIntroduction Child development is divided into quartet areas of development social / emotional, physical (motor), cognitive, and language. Typically children develop in a sequence of stages in each area. Although development normally follows the same series of stages, on that point are individual differences in what age each stage occurs. Development in part depends on the experiences a child encounters. According to Wardle (2004), young children aim from their total experience in a program. For example, children not only learn during teacher directed activities, they also learn while playing in evoke areas, on the playground, while riding the bus, or during meals. Vygotsky saw the child as part of an active social world in which communication with others and self savoir-faire help the child understand the world around him/her. (Lefton, 2000). Another area that is crucial to a childs development is the involvement of the childs parent is his or he r education. I Screwed Up High school is a strange time. After three historic period of trying to develop identity and friends in middle school, students are expected to mature immediately on the first day of ninth grade, but I never did this. I never fully realized in the earlier grades how important high school success, as measured by GPA, would be to my next life, and as a result I am applying to college with seemingly contradictory measures of my ability to perform college-level contrive. If I had worked and studied hard rather than hanging disclose with friends and viewing high school as an opportunity to socialize, I would not have to apply to school with a 1300 SAT and a 2.7 GPA. Had I taken my grades in my earlier years seriously, I could have been a colleges dream candidate. This year I have made an earnest effort to improve my work ethic. My grade point average is rising and my study habits are improving. However, after performing poorly for three years, my GPA cannot reflect th e transformation I underwent at the start of this year. Dedicated to making something of myself, I finally matured and am now trying to lessen the consequences of my past actions. Armed with my new attitude and my sagacity of the extreme importance of earning good grades to signal my capacity to work responsibly, I assure you that I will never revert to the student I one time was. In retrospect, I believe that it was my inability to choose my classes that resulted in my lack of enthusiasm on the ride to school each morning. I enjoy the exemption to pursue my own interests and anxiously anticipate the ability to choose my own class schedule in college. While I understand that college will be significantly more challenging than high school, I have always found it easier to study for a class that interests me. I am also voluntary to accept the fact that as long as I am in school, I will be forced to take required courses that I might be less than enthusiastic about. However, with my new goal-oriented nature, I realize that I am working towards my college degree and my future success, and I have regained the grind to excel. Moreover, I now realize the emptiness in the lives of people who can only do one thing well.
